On the 18th January 2009 Nigel, aka Knokka, wanted to record the newest songs they had learnt to see what they sounded like and to see what may need changing. I (Tom) decided to try a new way of recording them, and it worked brilliantly. SO i thought why not put the songs on the website for people to hear. All of the recordings are not perfect some have random noises in them due to the fact that we were just wanting to hear these songs not produce them for an album.

Rock Medley

The First track is a 1960/70’s Rock Medley. Lasting around 7 minutes we have nicknamed it “Oh F**K”, and it contains parts of five songs. The songs are Oh Boy, Rave On, Cottonfields, Lets Twsit Again & Peggy Sue. On this track we have Nigel on Guitar and vocals, Teri on vocals and shakers & Tom on the Bodhran

School Days Over

We first heard this track performed by the brilliant singer Mary Black and liked it so much we decided to do our version. I think we do the song justice. On the track we have Teri on vocals and Nigel on Guitar with a beautiful arrangement.

Bees Wing

We first heard this song performed by Richard Thompson. It is such a nice song we decided to use it and put our own spin on it. On the track we have Teri on vocals, Nigel on Guitar and Tom on the Bodhran.

Back Home in Derry

This song was first looked at by us a few years ago but couldn’t get it to sound right. So a few years down the line we dug it out again and tried a few different ideas and now we are very pleased with the out come. This song is an Irish Rebel Song and was written by Bobby Sands. It has been recorded by a number of artists including Christy Moore. On the track we have Teri on vocals, Nigel on Guitar & Vocals and Tom on the Bodhran.

All Around my Hat

All around my Hat has been record by quite a number of different artists including Steeleye Span and Status Quo. The song is about a Cockney costermonger who vowed to be true to his fiancee, who had been sentenced to seven years transportation to Australia. On the track we have Teri on vocals, Nigel on Guitar & Vocals and Tom on the Bodhran.

Waltzing’s for Dreamers

Another beautiful song from Richard Thompson. On the track we have Teri on vocals, Nigel on Guitar & Vocals.

Paddy Lie Back

This is a very up beat song to get your toes tapping and tonsils twisting. On the track we have Teri on vocals, Nigel on Guitar & Vocals and Tom on the Bodhran.
